During the day (and most nights), I am a professional in the cybersecurity industry… and also a global business consultant, the Founder of Inspiruption, and an author. At 41 years-old, I am still not “great” at sitting still, which means fitting in things like workouts and eating healthy meals can be an issue from time-to-time.
Recognizing that diet is eighty-percent of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially for women my age, it becomes crucial to finding a balance in the food you eat. I spent years trying everything from fad diets, to eating less (hangry isn’t a good look on me), to spending four-to-five hours on Sundays attempting to meal prep for the week and nothing stuck. Then, about a year ago, after the umpteenth time of me joking/complaining to my (very patient) husband that we needed a private chef, we started doing research on meal delivery services in the Northern Virginia area that provided fresh, ready-made healthy meals we could pop in the microwave. After sifting through those that force you to cook your meals, or do not take into account Celiac Disease (which I have), or aren’t all that healthy for you, we found MightyMeals!
There are so many reasons to love this company but the biggest reason is their mission, “to empower people to live healthier lives…”, and it shows! Not only are their meals healthy and delicious (with a ton of gluten-free options to choose from), but the labels go above and beyond in giving you an incredible amount of information on what you’re putting into your body, which for someone like me, is key. In fact, it’s allowed me the ability to plan out exactly which meals are best suited for workout days versus non-workout, constantly-working days! Some of my all-time favs include the Low-Carb Breakfast (which I eat almost every morning), Bruschetta Chicken, Beef Bulgogi, and the Poblano Chicken Burger. And, if I feel like “treating” myself, I also love the Southwestern Mini Quiches, the Bacon Cheddar Burger, and the Chicken Enchilada Casserole.
MightyMeals has also partnered up with Arlington, Virginia-based South Block Juice Company to bring you a variety of juices and healthy (gluten-free), travel-friendly snacks that help keep your energy up between meals (I’m guilty of loving the Donut Holes and the Caveman Balls), giving you no excuse to eat poorly…and to think all of this can be delivered right to your door!
As a busy professional, I will be forever grateful to everyone at MightyMeals for recognizing the importance of healthy eating on the go. As a woman with serious dietary restrictions, who places high importance on her health, I will be forever appreciative of those on the team responsible for ensuring customers, like me, are only putting the freshest, highest quality ingredients in our bodies.
